Magenta Community Services is looking for a capable, organised and approachable Support Partner – Complex Support to oversee the day-to-day coordination of services for a portfolio of participants with complex support needs.

This is a hands-on hybrid role, with approximately 65% of your time spent providing direct support to participants and 35% dedicated to operational coordination and team leadership.

You'll balance working alongside participants and their support teams with coordinating rosters, managing shift coverage, reviewing timesheets and overseeing day-to-day service delivery. You'll also maintain regular contact with staff through scheduled check-ins and debriefs, providing guidance and support to help ensure teams are confident and well equipped in their roles.

You'll be an important link between participants, their support teams and the wider leadership team, helping ensure services run smoothly and participants receive consistent, quality support.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating and maintaining staff rosters across several participants and their support teams.
  • Managing shift coverage, responding to unplanned absences and finding practical solutions to staffing challenges.
  • Reviewing and approving timesheets, following up on discrepancies and ensuring submissions are completed within required timeframes.
  • Conducting scheduled check-ins and shift debriefs with support workers to provide guidance, monitor wellbeing and address any concerns.
  • Providing day-to-day direction and support to staff, helping build confident, capable and consistent teams.
  • Monitoring service delivery and ensuring participant needs and support requirements are being met.
  • Following up on incidents, staffing concerns and operational issues, escalating matters where appropriate.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider leadership team and relevant stakeholders to maintain safe, consistent and person-centred supports.
  • Participating in a shared, rotating on-call roster to provide after-hours operational support, including responding to staffing issues, coordinating urgent shift coverage and providing guidance to support workers during allocated on-call periods.

About you

We're looking for someone who has a solid background in disability support and is ready to take on greater responsibility. You don't need to have done this exact role before, but you'll need the confidence, organisation and initiative to coordinate people and manage competing priorities.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in disability support, preferably supporting people with complex needs.
  • Experience in a senior support worker, house leader, team leader or coordination role will be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Confidence coordinating staff, managing rosters and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing rosters, timesheets and administrative tasks.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, participants and stakeholders.
  • A supportive but accountable approach to team leadership, including the confidence to provide guidance and address issues when needed.
  • A practical, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to adapt when priorities change.
  • Good computer skills and confidence learning and using administrative systems.
  • A genuine commitment to quality support, participant choice and positive outcomes.

What we offer

  • Full-time salaried position under the SCHADS Award Level 3.3 classification.
  • Additional on-call allowances paid on top of your salary.
  • An opportunity to develop your leadership and operational coordination skills while remaining actively involved in frontline disability support.
  • A varied role where you can make a meaningful difference to participants and the teams supporting them.
  • A supportive team environment with training and professional development opportunities.
  • The opportunity to be part of a values-driven organisation that puts people at the heart of what we do.
