MCS112897
Location:
Toowoomba
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do.
Someone who sees gaps, steps in, and takes ownership.
At Magenta Community Services, this isn’t a coordination role where you sit back and monitor — this is a role for someone who is engaged, accountable, and driven to make things better for the people we support.
If you’re motivated by meaningful work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and genuinely care about delivering high-quality support in the NDIS — keep reading.
About the Role
As a Support Specialist – Generalist, you will take ownership of a portfolio of participants and ensure their supports are not just in place — but working.
You’ll be actively involved in:
- Identifying gaps in supports and addressing them early
- Strengthening relationships with participants, families, and support teams
- Guiding and supporting Support Workers to deliver consistent, quality care
- Making decisions, solving problems, and adapting supports as needs change
This role requires someone who is hands-on, responsive, and confident managing competing priorities.
What to Expect in This Role
This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting multiple participants, responding to changing needs, and making decisions in real time.
At times, the role can be fast-paced and requires strong organisation, communication, and the ability to prioritise effectively. In return, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact and see the difference your work makes.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing participant supports with a strong focus on quality and outcomes
- Proactively identifying and resolving issues before they escalate
- Building trust with participants and their support networks
- Providing clear direction and support to frontline staff
- Ensuring services align with participant goals and NDIS expectations
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
This role is suited to someone who takes pride in their work and doesn’t cut corners.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in disability, community services, or a similar environment
- A solid understanding of the NDIS and person-centred practice
- The ability to manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to have difficult conversations when needed
- A proactive mindset — you act, not wait
You are someone who:
- Takes ownership and follows things through
- Is solutions-focused, not problem-focused
- Can stay calm and effective under pressure
- Is genuinely motivated to improve outcomes for participants
