Support Partner - Generalist- Toowoomba

Job No: MCS112728
Location: Toowoomba

Ready to take the next step in your support career?
At Magenta, we believe the best support starts with our people. That means putting our team at the heart of all we do — offering flexibility, mentoring, and opportunities to grow, while making sure the people we support live safe, meaningful lives.

We’re looking for a Support Partner – Generalist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who’s worked as a Support Worker and is ready to step up — combining hands-on participant support with rostering, coordination, and staff mentoring.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver hands-on, person-centred support to participants with complex needs
  • Help create stable, consistent rosters and make adjustments when things change
  • Ensure rosters balance award guidelines, fatigue management, and safe practice
  • Mentor and support other Support Workers — running shift briefings, debriefs, and informal check-ins to build staff confidence and wellbeing
  • Respond to and escalate risks or concerns, ensuring participant and staff safety
  • Keep documentation, shift notes, and incident reports accurate and timely
  • Monitor and log restrictive practices in line with compliance requirements
  • Support smooth transitions and onboarding for new participants
  • Communicate clearly with families, guardians, and other providers when needed
  • Contribute to team meetings, case discussions, and planning sessions
  • Take part in on-call duties on a rotating basis to support service stability

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience as a Support Worker, ideally with people with complex behavioural, psychosocial, or higher-support needs
  • Strong computer skills (rostering systems, documentation, reporting, email/communication tools)
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, or leading peers — whether formally or informally
  • Confidence in handling shift briefings, debriefs, and supporting staff wellbeing
  • Good judgement in managing risk, participant safety, and staff fatigue
  • Excellent communication skills — calm, clear, and supportive, even under pressure
  • High attention to detail in documentation, compliance, and incident reporting
  • A team-first mindset and commitment to Magenta’s values of empathy, respect, and integrity

Why you’ll love working with Magenta:

  • A people-first culture: we look after our staff as much as our participants
  • Real variety: a balance of participant-facing work and office-based coordination
  • Career growth: step into leadership and build your skills in mentoring, rostering, and compliance
  • SCHADS Award Level 3.1 + supportive team environment
  • Knowing your work makes a genuine difference every single day
